Pet Name Colour

I got the Pet name colour ability from the pet crate the other day, and wondering how do i acctually change the colour? what is the command/input to change it.
(i only know of changing the name from the /pets or /mpet menu)

TLDR: i know how to change name, but not the colour of the name

Use Minecraft color codes in the name i.e. /mpet setname &4pet, which would make your pet's name "pet"
